Gold In Soil Anomaly Extended - Ofoase Concession - Ghana
PMI Ventures Ltd. (the "Company") [TSX Venture: PMV], announces that soil sampling on the Ofoase concession, Ashanti Gold Belt, Ghana, extended the potential Banket 2 strike length from 2.5 km to over 4.0 km. Banket 2 is located 400 to 700 metres south of Banket 1 and the previously announced BH-1 trench.
Banket 2 is defined by gold in soil anomalies ranging from 25 ppb Au to 600 ppb Au, trending WSW along the margins of and sub-parallel to a distinctive airborne resistivity feature. In order to outline the full extent of the banket mineralization in this area, a program consisting of detailed mapping, trenching and pitting is ongoing. In addition, regional prospecting to follow up anomalous gold in stream sediment samples in Tarkwaiian and Birimian terrains, and along the margins of granitic intrusions, is also underway.
The work program is under the direction of Douglas R. MacQuarrie, P.Geo. (B.C).
